Ruby Archer is a young singer-songwriter from the NSW Central Coast who creates angry, jazzy rock with feminist undertones and husky vocals. A prize winning songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Ruby secured the support she needed to record and release her debut EP chamomile tea in early 2022.

Ruby gradually put together a band of like-minded musicians to perform her music live. Ruby and the Groovy Doobies went on to win first prize in YouthRock 2022.  Stepping from the stage to the screen, Ruby made her acting debut starring as Veronica in the 10 x 30min series Soundtrack to Our Teenage Zombie Apocalypse (STOTZA) for ABC ME and ABC iView.

Since then, Ruby has been recording her debut album Oh So Tender with Producer Jack Nigro which is planned for release in 2023. She is excited to perform her new tracks with her Groovy Doobies and looks forward to seeing you at Smith’s Alternative! 

Ruby will be supported by local singer-songwriter and fellow STOTZA cast member, Mina-Siale.
