Nigel Wearne is a folk/country singer-songwriter whose music has an intimate and poignant narrative. Equipped with personally handcrafted guitars, his music melds finger-style guitar, clawhammer banjo, folk and honest storytelling. Gleaning diverse influence from Kelly Joe Phelps, Townes Van Zandt and Sun Kil Moon, he tells stories of forgotten rebels, wandering poets and his love of eggs. Nigel has performed at various music festivals throughout Australia, including the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival and the Queenscliff Music Festival. Nigel’s highly anticipated new album Drawing Circles will be released onNovember 11. To celebrate the release, he’s hitting the road for a national tour. Recorded by Adelaide’s Mick Wordley (Jeff Lang, Chris Whitley, Archie Roach, The Waifs), Drawing Circles is a solo record that’s raw, compelling and reflective. With songs born of shadows and lucid reveries, the 14-song double albumexplores the dark corners of creativity and the irregular swells of life.

Also appearing, Andre Camilleri.
