As a passionate lyricist and born storyteller, 17-year-old Lara Buchanan is an emerging singer and songwriter with dreams of making it big. She began writing songs at the age of 11 and soon began using every spare moment she could find crafting and performing her songs.

Lara began vocal lessons at 13 years of age and soon after taught herself how to play the guitar and the piano. Only months after she had begun proper vocal training, Lara took home 1st place for the 2019 Canberra Youth Talent show with one of her original song “Imaginary Friend”.

At 14 years old, she booked a recording session at Amberly Studios, where she met producer and friend Guyy Lilleyman. In 2020 Lara released her first single, “Smoke”. This song went on to top multiple of the triple j unearthed charts, and landed Lara in the top 3 of Green Music Australia’s National Songwriting Competition.

Lara’s discography has continued to grow over the years with a few thousand listeners streaming her music. Her most recent single “You Know I Like Red” has now surpassed 170,000 streams in only months. With a love for her craft, and an eagerness to perform Lara is ready to perform a set of original songs and covers along side band members Connor Moloney, Daniel Isherwood, and Benjamin Philp, with special guest opener Eden Plenty.
