with Ben Harb and PetrichoralJoin us for a Friday night of live music at Smith’s Alternative as Fossil Rabbit launches his new EP Winter Jungle with special guests.
Fossil Rabbit (the solo project of Canberra musician Chris Finnigan) explores the spaces between post rock and various forms of electronica through guitar loops and effect pedal magic.
Fossil Rabbit’s debut release Cloudache in late 2013 was described by one writer as appealing to the Four Tet fan as much as the Pink Floyd fan. The new EP, Winter Jungle, expands on Cloudache by exploring a more electronic direction and including, for the first time, a feature vocalist.
The EP will be available here from January 27th.
Ben Harb is a young composer and performer from Canberra. A recent graduate from the Australian Nation University’s School, Ben has worked and performed with a number of acts within Canberra including the ANU New Music Ensemble, the Experimental Music Studio, Opus and bands such as Ecruteak and Lost Coast,
Recently, Ben’s work has focused on the use of electro acoustic instrumentation, spatialisation, and open form composition
