CJ Bowerbird and the Downfall Choir tell a day-in-the-life story through sound and verse. First staged at the National Folk Festival 2017, CJ now brings his show to Smith’s, sharing his poetry with a choral backing.

Also appearing: Luke McGrath

Queanbeyan's own Luke McGrath is a polyamorous songwriter with a catalogue spanning country, hip-hop, punk and electronica. Normally seen fronting either fuzz-poppers Faux Faux Amis or electro-mavericks Babyfreeze, this is a rare opportunity to see him perform solo – just three chords, the truth, a wink and a smile.

CJ Bowerbird is a spoken word artist and the 2013 Australian Poetry Slam Champion. He is also the curator and host of Bloody Lips, a high quality spoken word and music event in Canberra.
