Come and cheer on 6 amazing bands in each heat as they battle it out for a place in the semi-finals. A diverse panel of judges will be presiding over the heats and the three bands they choose to move onto the semi-finals will be announced at the end of the night.

Heat 2 Bands & Bios

Siggy Pop - is a dynamic musical duo consisting of cousins who share a deep-rooted passion for music, with a lineup comprising Ben (keys/vox) and Luke (guitar/vox). Together they breathe new life into classic covers and create an unforgettable musical experience. Beyond the stage, Siggy Pop's connection as cousins runs deep, infusing their performances with a familial bond that amplifies their synergy.

Howling Moon - are an indie band that play original songs that cross genres of rock, blues and prog. John and Tim met while working together at parliament house and started writing original material for Howling Moon in 2019. David and Jonathan joined the band in 2022. Howling Moon are keen to share their expansive collection of songs with wider audiences.

Lead Astray - are an eclectic mix of current and former public servants that have been jamming in meeting rooms and man caves for a few years. With an age range spanning three decades and inspiration drawing from pop, indie, rock, grunge and metal – you never know what Lead Astray will submit next. That said, you can expect a frank and fearless performance.

petre out & the tyreslashers - are an office rock band inspired by the DIY pop music of Daniel Johnston & the Lucksmiths, as well as classic alt-country, indie, punk and post-punk. Their songs are about working in offices, growing up in Canberra and mental health issues - sometimes all three in the one song.

Callum and Tomfunkle - Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are men of wealth and taste. We ride with kings on mighty steeds. Across the devils plain. We've run with wolves, we've climbed K2. Even stopped a moving train. We've travelled through space and time my friends. To rock this house again, ROCK!

Department of the Disillusioned – Acoustic Punk never regrets, never says sorry and never gets the attention it deserves. Department of the Disillusioned came together 4 weeks ago as a three piece, playing songs about working in the APS. All songs have been written by ripping off other tunes and using Chat GPT for the Lyrics. The show aims to be high energy, take no prisoners commentary of working in the modern APS.
