The pitch is simple: request any song from any era. As long as it’s crap, Tomás'll do his dardnest to get it to go off as much as he can. That usually means he’ll throw the full force of his unhinged energy into selling it to the dancefloor, showing off his terrible lipsynching skills, DIY Bunnings lightshows, costumes raided from the party section of K-Mart and acting on every ill-considered impulse that crosses his mind. All while keeping the dancefloor pumping with trashy non-classics and his animated video projections. The point is to keep you laughing and dancing all night.

Tomás loves playing your terrible requests. In case you need some ideas of what to ask him for, here’s some to get you started:

5ive, Gina G, the Vengaboys megamix, The Weather Girls, “Let It Go”, Rogue Traders, 2 Unlimited, Village People, Justin Bieber, Baha Men, No Mercy, remixes of Simply Red songs, Indecent Obsession, “Kiss From A Rose”, Aqua, the Flashdance soundtrack, N-Trance, The Wiggles, Ace Of Base, Ray Parker Jr, S2S, M2M, Human Nature, The Pushbike Song, Riverdance, Dannii Minogue, Crazy Frog, the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack, Boney M, Snap!, “Born To Be Alive”, the Harlem Shake, Stars On 54, Stars On 45, Chariots Of Fire, Cher singing ABBA, Meryl Streep singing ABBA, Alex Party, the Christmas Macarena, ATB, WHAM!, Kris Kross, the theme song from A Country Practice… let yourself dream big with your requests, because your dreams might just come true.

Tomás has sold out clubs around the world with his various ridiculous shows. When he’s not throwing down stupidtastic DJ gigs, he’s a queer cabaret-crooning megastar. He’s built his notoriety over two decades of misadventures, including a long reign as the go-to late night partymaster of the Edinburgh Fringe, a stint on the Big Day Out’s Lilypad, a surreal few months of nationally mega-viral fame in Malaysia and tons of music and video releases. His one-of-a-kind style has cemented him as part of the furniture at arts festivals, music venues and scout jamborees around the world.

Canberra is one of his favorite places to play ever and the last time he stopped by for a late night party at Smiths was an all-timer in terms of silly fun. Get together a group of your most ridiculous mates, plan a sleep-in the next day and book your tickets now!

This event is run with generous assistance from the ACT Government’s AMP IT UP Fund.
