Ben Salter - solo artist, museum piece and founding member of a number of ensembles including The Gin Club, Giants of Science & The Wilson Pickers - is hitting the road in September on his epic "Sublimation" tour of Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Over the past 25 years Salter has garnered a dedicated fan base and the respect of his songwriting peers with his emotionally charged live performances and increasingly eclectic recorded output, where elements of indie-rock, folk, jazz, electronica and more all coalesce around Salter's powerful voice and intricate word-play to create something quite unique.

The Sublimation tour will begin with a handful of solo shows in Japan before Salter embarks on an epic drive across the Nullarbor from Perth, crossing South Australia, Victoria, ACT, NSW and QLD. He’ll be joined by multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Jethro Pickett who’ll help flesh out arrangements of songs both new and old from Salter’s ever-expanding repertoire.

They’ll be supported along the way by their friend and neighbour, Warren Mason, songwriter and founder of Tin Camp Studios. Warren is a Yuwaalaraay man with links to the Yorta Yorta tribe; originally from Goodoga near the north west NSW/QLD border, he now resides, along with Pickett and Salter, in lutruwita/Tasmania.

The tour will be accompanied by a brand new, limited edition album and single of the same name, to be released in early October.
