The city of lights with all its beauty and splendour also has a darker side of late night Jazz clubs, Revues and French Cabaret ….This is the story of a passionate affinity with all things French and how serendipity created a path to performing in Paris.This is French Chanson with the theatrical twist of a Cabaret setting! Entertaining, poignant, physical theatre, burlesque, virtuosic performers and musicians all come together to create an experience not to be missed.

Familiar and lesser known repertoire from his recently recorded album “Ben Noir Presents a French Cabaret” showcase Ben Noir's amazing vocal agility. It was released in Nov 2016 at the Camelot Lounge after returning from highly acclaimed performances in Montreal.

Ben’s background in Circus and physical theatre and being blessed with a vocal range that would match the most daring sopranos, , has enabled him to draw on unique skills to tantalize his audiences. He’s worked with the English National Ballet, appeared in Baz Luhrmann’s hit film Moulin Rouge, was the first  aerial performer to fly across the stadium in the 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony….

As a vocalist, he has had singing roles such as the leading man in Shay Stafford’s Memoirs of a Showgirl (stage show of Shay’s autobiography as principal dancer of the Moulin Rouge and Lido de Paris) the romantic lead in the musical Cheek to Cheek (with Tom Sharah in the matchmaker role) as well as various other musicals.

His main focus has been on his solo vocal career in Australia, Europe and now Canada.

Special guests in Ben’s Sydney shows have included authentic Lido and Moulin Rouge performers and French music exponent, flautist Jane Rutter.
